16GB Wi-Fi only Apple iPad mini in black joins all white units in selling out

The Black Wi-Fi only Apple iPad is now on backorder mini

Pre-orders for the Apple iPad mini started on Friday and already all variants of the Wi-Fi only tablet in whitehave been sold out. Also now on backorder is the 16GB Wi-Fi only Apple iPad mini in black, according to Apple's web site. Meanwhile, the 32GB and 64GB models in black are still available for delivery on November 2nd while the models on backorder show delivery in two weeks. The Wi-Fi + Cellular models all show their original delivery date of mid-November.

The 16GB Wi-Fi only Apple iPad mini will cost you $329 while the 32GB model is $429 and $529 will get you the 64GB tablet. The Wi-Fi + Cellular version runs $459, $559 and $659 for the 16GB, 32GB and 64GB variants respectively. Apple has produced the smaller version of its tablet as a way to compete with the red-hot, low priced 7-inch Android tablets like the Amazon Kindle Fire HD and the Google Nexus 7.  

With the holiday shopping season fast approaching, it seems that the demand for the Apple iPad mini is already turning the device into another winner for Apple.
