Samsung Galaxy Ace II coming to Canada's Bell on November 15th

If you live in Canada and are looking for an entry-level smartphone for your clumsy kid or your spouse who is always dropping his or her smartphone, you might want to consider the Samsung Galaxy Ace II. A leaked internal document for Canadian carrier Bell shows a release date of November 15th for the handset which resembles the Samsung Galaxy S III from the outside. From the inside it is a different matter entirely and is even priced accordingly at $250 without one of those stubborn contracts.

So what makes the Samsung Galaxy Ace II an entry-level model? Well, it starts with the 4 inch Super LCD screen with WVGA resolution which results in a 246ppi pixel density for the device. A single-core 1GHz processor is under the hood with 1GB of RAM on board. A 5MP camera rests on the back with a VGA camera in front. And the 1500mAh battery keeps the lights on. Android 4.0 is aboard and your color options are Cobalt Black and White.

If you're a power user, this is not the phone for you. But for family and friends who think that RAM is a Dodge truck and WVGA is a country radio station in the Black Hills of South Dakota, then the Samsung Galaxy Ace II could make a fabulous holiday gift.
